Good Adventures & Handmade Pie
Written by Tyson Baker I left Visalia and headed towards Mineral King for a spontaneous backpacking trip with two friends of mine, Bruno and Connor. The adventure began with loading up a tiny Toyota Prius with all of our gear piled in the back and heading east up Highway 198. The car ride was filled with jokes and conversation about the adventure we were about to embark upon. Entering the gate to Mineral King gave us a sense of relief from the real world.
